A candle follower or "burner" is designed to increase the efficiency of the wax by minimizing the dripping. The design, weight, and construction of the follower is critical to the proper burning of a beeswax candle.
Although very popular and considerably less expensive in the larger diameters, we do not recommend glass followers for the following reasons: They will at some time break.The manufacturing process makes it difficult to hold exacting standards. Many have irregularities. They blacken over time around the top rim. They "bracket" candle diameters for candles smaller than 2-1/2"causing a "sloppy fit.
